Street Team - Job Description
The Street Team determine to raise awareness, publicise (in every way they know), and sell Pleasance produced shows, not only around our own magical venues, but anywhere and everywhere potential customers may be.
More than simply being a means to plaster any free space, the Street Team is an essential component in driving ticket sales and representing Pleasance as the place to be during the festival. As such, you must be confident in speaking with the public and always have a smile on your face.
You will distribute flyers across town and ensure that each show has equal exposure on the available wall space. As an extension of the Front of House team, you may sometimes be called upon to assist their operations and so an ability to adapt quickly to a new environment is preferable.
The ideal candidate will have unrelenting energy, boundless enthusiasm, and the stamina to keep going after hours on their feet.
Head of Street Team - Job Description
The Head of Street team is responsible for managing a team of seven and creating a coordinated strategy to ensure maximum exposure for Pleasance shows.
You will be responsible for creating team rotas and pin-pointing the best areas for flyering. You will also be the main point of contact for companies and artists who are looking to increase their footfall through flyers and posters. You should be able to communicate well and come up with bespoke distribution strategies that are uniquely suited to marketing particular shows.
A good knowledge of Edinburgh and its hotspots is desirable, especially of the city during Fringe time.
