Thumbs up for Tom Thumb!

Tom Thumb and gold coinThe Adventures of Tom Thumb were one of the first festival acts to win a prestigious Scotsman Fringe First Award yesterday. Picking up their shiny black plaque award at a ceremony hosted by Arts Editor Andrew Eaton, they were one of 6 winners which also included Black Watch, (I Am) Nobody’s Lunch, The Receipt, Particularly in the Heartland and Food.

On receiving the award, Finn Caldwell, who plays the part of Tom Thumb himself said:

Cast of Adventures of Tom Thumb"We were absolutely delighted to be given the award and it is a real privilege to be picking it up surrounded by so many great Fringe acts that we greatly respect. It's been a great day."

Unfortunately Tom Thumb has had to leave the fairytale world of the Pleasance today and return to the real world of London but you can catch this top notch show again at the Lyric Hammersmith in February.

Congratulations Tom Thumb from all at the Pleasance!
