Fever pitch is reaching an all time high with all the news that is flooding the PT cupboard daily. We have just received news that What I Heard About Iraq has been awarded a Fringe First; PT was on hand at the Fringe First award ceremony to get pictures and a quote from the winning New York company:
"It is a great honour to receive this award, and testament to the wonderful work that director Hannah Eidinow and our fantastic cast have done to create this incredible piece of theatre."
After the awards ceremony the company were invited by The Scotsman's Arts Editor Andrew Eaton to appear at the gala awards ceremony next Friday at the Assembly Rooms, to perform an excerpt of the show. With this latest award, the Pleasance has a total of Two Fringe Firsts, Five Total Theatre nominations, Three List and Writer's Guild nominations and One Herald Angel (for Past Half Remembered). All that is in the pending draw now is the If.Comeddies shortlist which is to be released on Wednesday. Fingers crossed please...
