Both the Pleasance Courtyard and the Pleasance Dome are centrally located in Edinburgh's old town.
The Courtyard (Venue 33) is located on the Pleasance, which runs along the west side of Holyrood Park, from the Royal Mile. The Courtyard is a large venue with 14 theatre spaces, but it is easy to find your way around. Pick a copy of our map (left) when you arrive make sure that you have a Pleasance Day!

The Dome (Venue 23) is located in Bristo Square, a mere ten minute walk from the Courtyard, and also near to the Royal Mile, George IV Bridge and Chambers Street. Bristo Square has become one of the major hubs of the festival with the Gilded Balloon Teviot and Underbelly UdderBelly also located there.

By bus
Both the Pleasance Courtyard and the Pleasance Dome are well served by local bus services. The following all run along Nicholson Street (Festival Theatre), from which both the Courtyard and Dome are a very short walk (please note that all services run via North Bridge):

- 3/3A Birkenside or Mayfield - Wester Hailes (via Princes Street)
- 5 Oxgangs - Brunstane, Asda (via Meadowbank)

- 14 West Granton - Greendykes (via Leith Walk)
- 29 Silverknowes - Govebridge (via Princes Street)
- 30 Clovenstone - Musselburgh (via Princes Street)
- 31 East Craigs - Bonnyrigg Toll then Cockpen Rd or Polton Mill (via Princes Street)
- 33 Baberton - Hyvots Bank (via Princes Street)
- 37/37A Penicuik - Silverknowes (via Princes Street)

Please note that most buses in Edinburgh require you to give them the exact fare and cannot give you change!
By train
The Pleasance Courtyard and Pleasance Dome are both a short walk or taxi ride from Edinburgh's Waverley station.
By car
Finding parking space in Edinburgh at the best of times can be a challenge, and this is never more evident than during the Festival. Public transport is recommended wherever possible, and Edinburgh City Council run a number of Park & Ride schemes servicing the City Centre.).
There are numerous car-parks around Edinburgh city centre - the most convenient for the Pleasance sites is the NCP St Johns Hill (Viewforth Gardens off Holyrood Road, EH8 9UQ) with 297 spaces including 4 disabled bays. Telephone 0845 050 7080.
