In exciting news we can reveal that two Pleasance shows, Floating and Past Half Remembered have won Total Theatre Awards!

Wednesday 23rd August

The shortlist has now been announced for the Total Theatre Awards 2006, which honour the best in physical and visual performance at the Fringe. The winners will be announced on 24 August.

Hear ye, hear ye let the bells ring for we have five, yes five, acts up for a Total Theatre Award 2006! Pleasance is extremely proud to announce this news in wake of yesterday's tremendous award nominations. Not only do we have great writers on board at the Pleasance; we have great physical and visual theatre practitioners to boot. In no particular order we have the following acts up for (I very nearly wrote eviction then! See how Big Brother permeates our every move... ahem) THE AWARD: No Obvious Trauma, Floating, Crunch! Past Half Remembered and The Garden. CONGRATU - FLIPPIN' - LATIONS!! This is the beginning of a process which takes us up until the 23rd of August, where the award, which celebrates physical and visual theatre, will be announced on the 24th in a ceremony at the Assembly Rooms. Catch these shows now to avoid missing a chance to see some superb theatre.
