Pleasance Adult Drama Group is a stimulating weekly drama class using games, exercises and improvisation to help you gain confidence and explore ideas. This is a relaxed and fun class suitable for those with all levels of experience including complete newcomers, is open to all levels of ability and focuses on confidence building and performance skills.

Spring Term 2010 offers the first opportunity for this group to work towards a devised performance in March. The group will spend the term creating and developing an original piece of theatre based on their own ideas. Members wanting to join this term need to be interested in participating in this show, otherwise it may be more appropriate to join for the summer term, which will return to weekly classes.

Price for 13 week period starting 6th January with a showcase performance on 31st March - £100

We are still offering the chance to "drop in" to this class for £10 per week but you will need to be able to commit to at least Wed 24th & 31st March and sign up in advance to secure your place.

Classes are run by Dominique Gerrard who is a professional actress and a highly experienced drama facilitator and director. She has worked with adults and young people in many different settings and prioritises enabling people of varying abilities to use drama to enhance their confidence, self-expression, creativity, vocal and physical flexibility and performance skills. Her teaching style is warm, open, fun and dynamic.

Term dates are Sunday 10th January - Sun 28th March (Half term break Sun 21st February)

YP has been creating dynamic, original and adventurous productions in London and in Edinburgh for the past 14 years and we are now extending the age range to build and develop the company for children and young people aged 7 to 18.

Come along to play games, build your confidence and learn a whole host of performance skills including improvisation, devising, script work, voice, movement and character work. For younger members, the focus will be on fun, imaginative play and developing social and communication skills.

All classes are inclusive and accessible to all levels of experience and ability from the complete beginner to ambitious young actors with much more experience.
