A hopeless alcoholic, once a world class opera singer, and a young offender with stars in his eyes, sold on a "show biz" career. They would never have met but a community service order has forced the wannabe to look after the has been.

The order has expired but the younger man is still hanging on trying to care for the irascible and ungrateful old man. The wit and faded charisma of the former singer have captivated the young hopeful and here one traumatic afternoon is put under the microscope. The piece is undeniably dark, and has the possibilty to shock, but the emphasis is on the sparks generated by the unlikely pairing.
