Tom Conti in 'Jesus, My Boy'
Followed by Tom Conti chatting with the audience
Tuesday 24 - Sunday 29 November 7.30pm (Sunday at 5pm)
Jesus My Boy stars Tom Conti as a feisty Joseph in a hilariously refreshing intimate play written by comedian John Dowie. Highlights include his memorable meeting with the boy's mother, the truth behind the birth itself and his sceptical encounter with the so-called Three Wise Men.
Oscar nominated, Tony and Olivier award-winning actor Tom Conti reprises this brilliant show on its tenth anniversary.
Tom Conti is an accomplished stage, television and film actor. He won an Olivier and Broadway Tony award for his role in Whose Life Is It Anyway? and was Oscar nominated for Reuben, Reuben. He has starred in numerous West End productions and won, with Judy Dench, the Theatregoers Choice Award for most popular actors of the past twenty five years. He recently completed shooting ‘The Tempest’ with Helen Mirren and ‘A Closed Book’ with Daryl Hannah.
The performance will be followed by Tom Conti chatting to the audience.
'Never in history has a father been so upstaged as Joseph, husband to the divine Virgin Mary, stepdad to that boy, now, just in time for Christmas, comes Tom Conti to redress the balance....
His jokes are extremely intelligent and insightful, not to mention well-timed, wringing laughter from the audience even as tears prick at their eyes.' Whatsonstage.com
