Following the resounding success of last year's sold-out hit *5 Shades of
Black*, Joy Productions proudly presents *3 Shades of Black* in
celebration of Black History Month 2024. This years’ compelling showcase
weaves together an eclectic mix of plays and spoken word performances,
paying homage to pivotal Black historical figures and events.
Prepare to be inspired as we journey through a tapestry of stories, from the trailblazing achievements of Winifred Atwell, the first Black woman to top the UK charts. Sandra Laing, a 3rd generation White South African who was rejected by her family because she looked Black, to the heart-wrenching tragedy of Damilola Taylor's untimely death.
