The Empty Seat: Please Consider Donating

In light of current Government restrictions and with the priority of public health in mind, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our operation at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and cease sales for Aaron Simmonds: Hot Wheels. This poses a significant challenge not only to Pleasance but also Lee Martin for Gag Reflex in association with ART, who produce Aaron Simmonds.

We would welcome any support you are able to provide by donating below. Your donation will be shared between Lee Martin for Gag Reflex in association with ART and the Pleasance Theatre Trust, helping us both get through these tough times and back to the stage. We will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to thrill, amaze, provoke and entertain as soon as we're able to, even if it may have to be in 2021. We look forward to welcoming you then. Thank you.

Any donation value is welcome, please feel free to edit the £5.00 default shown above.

4 years ago Aaron was given a nickname based solely on being in a wheelchair, which is upsetting as there is much more to him than his disability. The most annoying thing? It’s a really cool nickname.

Hot Wheels is a show all about the positive side of being disabled, from having a blue badge to disabled toilets to meeting “Jesus” and everything between.
