Violet is a humorous fictionalised narrative drama drawn from the personal experiences of a trans woman navigating IRL spaces.
First performed as an extract at Queer Upstairs at the Royal Court, this piece has been developed to this first full length work in progress performance with Papergang Theatre, supported by ACE, PuSh Festival Vancouver and Pleasance.
Enxi Erskine Chang is a British-Chinese writer, actor, spoken word poet and rapper. Her work has been aired at the Southbank Centre, the Royal Court and on Benjamin Zephaniah’s Life and Rhymes. She also releases music and DJs as Princess Xi Xi, performing at many iconic venues and nights including Colour Factory, Pussy Palace and Somerset House.
