‘I have this fantasy that I get thrown into the blades of a helicopter.’

Amidst the swirling steam of a Russian Banya, Brian and Darlene sweat through layers of vulnerability, revealing fantasies, fears, and the unexpected twists of connection.

Hope This Helps is a new one-act comedy by Brooklyn-based Gracie Gardner (Athena, The Yard; Relentless Award Winner for Pussy Sludge) directed by Charles Quittner (All the Fraudulent Horse Girls, The Glory) featuring Tegen Hitchens (aka Ginger Phlappage in the London Drag scene) and Cade Brannan (recent Mountview graduate).

The Pleasance Main House stage will be transformed into a spa with soothing original music by Brittain Ashford (Indie music sensation and performer in the original broadway cast of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812), banya-design by Matti, atmospheric lighting by Billy Highfield and stage management by Felicia Jiang.

‘A playwright who is full throttle funny and wise beyond her years’ New York Times

’Brooklyn Rep fulfil all parts of their remit as a queer experimental theatre company and in this climate, that feels like something to celebrate’ There Ought to Be Clowns

’One of the most entertaining, least conventional productions you will see in a while’ Reviews Hub on Brooklyn Rep's All the Fraudulent Horse Girls
