Please Consider Donating

In light of current Government restrictions and with the priority of public health in mind, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our operation at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and cease sales for In Loyal Company and Not Quite Midnight Radio. This poses a significant challenge not only to Pleasance but also David William Bryan.

We would welcome any support you are able to provide by donating below. Your donation will be shared between David William Bryan and the Pleasance Theatre Trust, helping us both get through these tough times and back to the stage. We will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to thrill, amaze, provoke and entertain as soon as we're able to, even if it may have to be in 2021. We look forward to welcoming you then. Thank you.

Any donation value is welcome, please feel free to edit the £5.00 default shown above.

Important information:

This show contains scenes of war and mild swearing.

After total sell-out Edinburgh Fringe runs in 2018 & 2019, 'In Loyal Company' returns in a bigger venue for 2020. The incredible true story of missing World War II soldier Arthur Robinson as written and performed by his great-nephew David William Bryan is a tour de force war epic not to be missed.

May 1941. Hitler’s bombs rain down on Liverpool. Local packer, Arthur Robinson, joins up becoming a private in the 18th reconnaissance division. Deployed to Singapore where his ship is destroyed by Japanese dive bombers on arrival, Arthur is declared missing. This is extraordinary and necessary true story of survival.
