The Empty Seat: Please Consider Donating

In light of current Government restrictions and with the priority of public health in mind, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our operation at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and cease sales for Mark Watson: This Can't Be It. This poses a significant challenge not only to Pleasance but also Impatient Productions, who produce Mark Watson.

We would welcome any support you are able to provide by donating below. Your donation will be shared between Impatient Productions and the Pleasance Theatre Trust, helping us both get through these tough times and back to the stage. We will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to thrill, amaze, provoke and entertain as soon as we're able to, even if it may have to be in 2021. We look forward to welcoming you then. Thank you.

Any donation value is welcome, please feel free to edit the £5.00 default shown above.

Important information:

This show contains strong language.

Watson, at 40, is halfway through his life according to the life expectancy calculator. That life is in the best shape in living memory... but one problem remains, and it really is a huge one. Spiritual enquiry meets high-octane observational comedy as the still very skinny Watson attempts to cram a year of pathological overthinking into just under an hour's stand-up. Maybe we'll even solve the huge problem. Doubt it, though.

Complete sellout 2014-2019.

"Unlike anything else I've seen in 20 years of covering the Fringe... Witty, warm, perfectly judged" ★★★★★ (Telegraph)
