Had any ideas over the last year for a new show but not quite sure where to start? Want to take the next step and create a show that will storm the fringe?

This workshop will be a practical, hands-on session providing you with the tools you need to make the show you want to make. Join director Anna Marshall and actor/deviser Alex Hinson from Bric à Brac Theatre as they guide you through a series of helpful exercises to kickstart your ideas through writing, design, movement, and Lecoq methods.

Anna Marshall is a director who focuses on original, devised theatre making with a particular interest in feminist activism. She was recently the resident trainee director at Leeds Playhouse and had assisted in national tours. Her own work has performed in venues such as Shoreditch Town Hall, Lyric Hammersmith, Derby Theatre, and Vault Festival.

Alex Hinson is an actor, deviser, movement director and yoga teacher who uses her movement practice to help inform her devising process. She has performed in venues such as The Bush Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Riverside Studios and Vault and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.

This free workshop offer is part of Fringe Futures Festival, a brand new festival of LIVE work-in-progress shows from leading independent performance makers brought to you by the Pleasance and VAULT Creative Arts. Check out the Pleasance line-up here.
