Ama, a vibrant writer-performer, competes for a coveted spot in a theatre
programme celebrating black artists. Armed with snapshots of her
captivating character concepts, she unveils the colourful tapestry of her
    imagination.
During Ama’s audition, we meet her creations; Miya, a curious little girl magnetically drawn to trouble, Josephina, a heartbroken woman embarking on a new, unconventional romance and Gabrielle, the unabashed storyteller from North London.
As Ama passionately pitches her kaleidoscope world of characters, she finds herself entangled in a web of micro-aggressions and familial pressures. Will she stay true to her values or will she be lured into compromising her integrity to chase her dreams?
