The Border was created in tribute to non-binary Ukrainian performer, Antonina Romanova, who was kept on the front line by the war. That doesn't mean she couldn't still be with us in another guise.

Creation of a new, intimate language of the [non-]present, who devoted their life to defending their own dignity.

It oscillates between performance and ritual, becoming a 'rite of passage', a moment of 'receiving and giving'. It creates a new field where time is only a moving image of eternity.

Grotowski Institute Residence at Fringe supported by Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland.
