GAMEPLAY is a feverish love note for the end of days, a survival manual written in the borrowed time between the siren and the bomb. Come and be part of a rehearsal for the apocalypse. *The company is not liable for heart palpitations, existential dread, arousal (sexual, spiritual, other), or the sudden awareness of your own mortality.
Originally developed through Camden People’s Theatre’s prestigious Starting Blocks programme (with alumni including Louise Orwin, Rachel Mars, and piss/CARNATION), GAMEPLAY now comes to Pleasance London for a bold new run of work-in-progress performances, bigger, stranger, and more urgent than ever before.
Praise for previous work:
‘A heartfelt paean to the politics of hope’ ★★★★★ Scotsman
‘One of my favourites of this year’s fringe’ ★★★★ Stage
‘Unique and intellectually potent’ ★★★★★Morning Star
‘The biggest highlight of my year in theatre’ ★★★★ A Young(ish) Perspective
‘Sam Rees is magnetic, this is a production which defies the rules of the genre’ ★★★★ Broadway World
This performance will make use of intergrated audio-description
The Pleasance and Camden People's Theatre are thrilled to announce the first ever CPT Main House Takeover at the Pleasance.
Dream Big is a new artist development opportunity for artists who have successfully worked at studio scale through CPT to develop ambitious ideas for main stages, to take artistic risks and progress their professional practice.
The four artists/companies selected include FUSE, Em Prendergast, Fish in a Dress and Carmen Collective. Each will present a work-in-progress sharing of an ambitious new project, each exploring integrated accessibility (through BSL, captioning or audio description).
