Migrant Class Hero is a dark satire in which two actors put on some silly wigs (and questionable accents) and take us on a high-speed comedic romp that confronts the lack of migrant representation in the arts.
Futures Festival is a Pay What You Can Event, with 100% of the box office going directly towards supporting the artists and the work you see on stage. We invite you to consider what you might typically spend on a show, and choose the highest tier you feel comfortable with - every pound helps us champion new voices and bold ideas.
Each year Pleasance commits to supporting six London based theatre makers/writers for a two year residency as our Associate Artists, providing them with the transformative tools to take their work and craft to the next level. We asked them to curate a festival based around themes of their choosing. Futures Festival is the result!
Futures Festival showcases developing productions from leading independent performance makers and companies.
This show is part of Week 2, The Future Is Fabricated presented by Maybe You Like It .
A week of performance exploring invention, deception, and the art of spinning a good yarn. These works ask why we lie, what makes us believe, and who gets hurt when truth is bent, blurred, or broken.
