NICE THINGS finds a gay couple, in the midst of their comfortable years. The two of them have everything; a bougie flat, three holidays a year and truly envious Instagram grids. Nothing could ripple their idealistic world.
Except for each other.
When one of them comes out as nonbinary, their very selves begin to threaten this seemingly perfect picket fence life. How do you deal with drastic changes in someone we love unconditionally? Are they really that drastic? Will anything truly change? Do they actually want all that...stuff anyway? Isn't it better if your partner is just themself? Isn't that what you love about them? Maybe. But maybe not that much themself.
A fiery, intimate and heartfelt world premier written by Luke Hereford (Grandmother's Closet, Polly & Esther) and Directed by Izzy Rabey (Royal Court, National Theatre Wales).
