Mousa, a young Palestian student newly arrived in New York, wants what so many before him have wanted: the American dream. A good education, a new life, the girl. But America has other ideas.

Haunted by the ghost of Rachel Corrie - the American activist killed in Gaza in 2003 - and pulled into campus protests that spiral beyond his control, Mousa finds that the life he came for keeps slipping out of reach. The harder he reaches for belonging, the more the world reminds him of who he is and where he comes from until he is forced to act, with devastating consequences.

Part love story, part political reckoning, Two Names, That Meet and Part puts the immigrant experience at the heart of the American dream - and asks what happens when that dream was never really yours to have.

This show was developed in conjunction with the Mead Fellowship and co-produced with PALART Collective as part of their 2026 festival.
