'Cocaine Capital of Wales, Port Talbot. And this Shunk was becoming its little Prince...'

If there's anything lower than working class, it's David. After a tragedy in his childhood, sixteen-year-old David turned to dealing drugs to help his family survive life in Port Talbot. But everything soon begins to spiral completely out of his control...

Coming off his West-End Debut in Backstair's Billy Jacob Ethan Tanner presents his dark-comedy, one-man play SHUNK, at The Pleasance Theatre.

Writer/Performer/Co-Director Jacob Ethan Tanner is a multi-discipline award winner, winning two awards for Best Actor for his performance in the BBC Wales short film Wheels. He has directed several award-winning music videos for Welsh artists, and his debut short film It's Quiet in the Cold won multiple awards at film festivals worldwide. His latest short begins filming in June 2024, in production with BBC Wales.

Producer/co-director Issie Riley has worked as an actor for many years, appearing in The House of Shades at the Almeida theatre, audio dramas and dubbing for TV and film across Netflix and Amazon, as well as narrating audiobooks for Audible.
