More information:
All the way from Australia comes the internationally acclaimed physical comedy sensation about the life and films of Charlie Chaplin! Fresh after winning 'Best International Show' at the Hollywood Fringe, Marcel Cole makes his Edinburgh Fringe debut at the Pleasance Courtyard with his latest and greatest show yet, Smile: The Story of Charlie Chaplin.
Smile is a dazzling one-man homage to a cinematic icon and arguably the greatest physical comedian of all time. With sell-out shows and five star reviews across the global fringe circuit, this is a joyful and poignant theatrical gem that celebrates the genius of Chaplin through mime, physical comedy and daredevil tomfoolery.
Audiences can expect to be blown away by a whirlwind hour of inspired physical storytelling recounting Chaplin’s impoverished beginnings, rise to meteoric fame, and political exile in Switzerland. This is Fringe theatre at it’s best - delivered with warmth, wit and Marcel’s signature mastery of physical comedy.
About Marcel:
Marcel Cole spent ten years training to be a ballet dancer but then realised he had more fun making people laugh than being beautiful and so now after studying theatre, mime and clown in London and Paris, he is touring the world with his award-winning shows.
